Chris rated this item 5 out of 5 I've owned 2 Hayward Navigator Pool Cleaners now and have had great luck with both. The key is to replace the shoes on the bottom of the cleaner (Aqua Superstore sells them for $9) about once a year. Otherwise the cleaner will start to wear into the body and ruin the gears (just like not replacing the tires on your car). If you keep up with the shoes you won't have to replace anyting internal for atleast 4+ years. In 4+ years you can just buy a rebuild kit for $60 and have a completly new cleaner on the inside. This does have moving parts, but if you take care of it, you won't have problems. The good part about the moving parts is that the Hayward Navigator will actually work better than others that dont as its actually driven around the pool and not just a random cleaner, which dosne't work well on all pools. Hope this helps. |
