I have one of these for four years - the older ones work really well, and although the motor just went out on mine I am satisfied that mine worked well for four seasons, and I didn't store it properly last year so thats why I think the motor went.
My mother has a newer unit and it went out after 1 season, but was replaced under warranty. Sounds like the original units were high quality and the newer ones are junk - just my 2 cents. |

This is only my second use of the cleaner, it works pretty well so far. Picks up sand particles , dirt and small pieces of mulch. A little clumsy carrying it and submerging it. I read the directions throughly and noted that one should not turn it on out of the water and do not manuever the wheels once set. Also start it at a ninety degree angle at wall. It comes from the factory set for round pools. It will miss some spots because of the angling of the wheels. I have a 15 ft round and have taken to pushing the dirt from the corners to the center of the pool. I would also caution because the onboard computer is set for three hours I wouldn't stop it before then because I thinks that eventually will screw up the preset settings. When removing be careful as soon as you pull it out by the cord to turn it on it's back so the dirt doesn't reenter the pool. I would caution folks to handle this unit with care(especially the wheels) and do not leave outside. |

I love this cleaner. I build and sell pools and accesories, and i think this is the best above ground cleaner i have seen yet. If you have the $, then get this. It will make your life easier. Highly recommended! |

If you are looking to buy a pool cleaner, THIS IS IT! This is the best thing that I have ever spent money on. I highly recommend this auto pool cleaner. My above ground pool has never been cleaner.

I am very impressed with this machine. It's easy enough for my 7 yr. old to operate (w/supervision). It operates as described. Just drop it in and let it do its thing. One drawback is because it's so powerful it will attempt to climb the side of the pool & sometimes will flip over. But overall, it's the best. It saves me time. No hoses to assemble and hook up to your pump. No scrubbing the bottom of the pool. I've had no algae since robo-kleen. This guy eats up everything! |
